Do you work long hours for this reason or if you work long hours is it because that is what your job requires? I started working at 18 and work the same hours today as I worked when I was 18, 40 per week, and believe me that was a lot of years ago.
You have never played the lottery and helped put kids through college. You have never gambled. You have never drank or smoked. I have done them all at one time or another in my life. Your rational makes no sense to me.
*Psst . . . Just Me*

(It's a cartoon.)

(Get it?)

(Cartoons aren't real)

(Even if they appear on "Fox News")

IDK JM. It is a moralistic story used by our enemy. You want to use their form of punishment. Then we can leave Iraq, after all if we weren't over there, they'd be over here taking us over.

BTW, you continue to misrepresent what I wrote, but that is ok. Since you are still learning and working your way through college. Keep plugging, you'll get that Associates someday and you will be ready for upper division stuff. Be careful though, they teach pretty strange stuff in college, like uh, you know, psychology, sociology and such with concepts. Those may corrupt you. I suggest you get tapes of Captain Kangeroo. His bunny rabbit only stole carrots.

You do not think it happens...I guess Al-queda does not cut off fingers or chop off heads either...I would never advocate such punishment or torture but I'm not a bleeding heart either...

So you like to praise people who steal, etc. and make fun of people, thankful people, who worked hard and work hard to make their way...You are quite a treasure...

I'll get the tapes of Captain Kangeroo tomorrow...Stealing carrots should be OK in your book...

Uh, no, I just know the difference between a story with a moral and real life. Real life doesn't work that way all the time. You should try reality, it is quite a concept. There is no perfect criminal like on TV, there are few criminals with a criminal mind as defind by Samenow.

Again JM, when you start looking a criminal behavior and actually "learn" about things let me know. The trend you will see will be mental illness coupled with drug addiction that started out with self medication, a lack of an education, poor family relations, and zero job skills but for menial labor jobs.

Couple that stuff together and it is a good receipe for a criminal. They can't think and reason very well. Come to think of it they may be similar to you in that particular area. Never mind.

Your looking for stronger punishment for criminals, there it is Askwhy and JustMe. Just do as they do. Why be humane?

Jacket: I knew it was a cartoon and a moralistic story (used to coerce their own population)...but to educate you:

Sorry JM. I already am educated. Please don't try to indoctrinate me or patronize me. It is unbecoming.

I agree but I keep trying to with you.

I guess you and I are hopeless then...Enjoy the day with your thieving friends...

JM, you are totally lost. I have zero "thieving friends". You have no idea who my friends are, but they could easily be in high places and on this board.

JustMe Wrote:
Right, the others with bleeding hearts...

No bleeding heart here pal. An no, I have other people on here that have a different POV than I that I consider friends. NM, Daco, are just two. The difference is their attitude re: my POV and mine toward thiers. We are reasonable folks that gain insight. You may be lacking in that category. Give it a try.
