So, I'm at the Time Out Deli, as is my wont, and found out that earlier in the week this insanely drunk woman plowed into 6 cars in the TOD parking lot, before spilling out onto Robertsville, and into the Alliance church parking lot, clipping a tree, where she finally came to rest.

Nah, it is summer, it always goes up in the summertime. I think there is a full moon also. That is also a contributing factor.
Nope, full moon won't be till Monday. My guess is she was leaving her job as a prostitute behind the corner market. There is an extremely bad problem on that corner..sit outside time out deli and just watch the traffic. It's amazing there aren't more reported cases of STD's. Maybe we could get the CDC to step in and shut their operation down...maybe that's the office we need to turn to for reinforcement!
Hellooo, is anybody in there? Locals have known about the valley for years (with not much being done), but prostitution in the center, drive bys and gunshots on the east end and wacked out parenting along with pseudo-kidnapping are keeping this town on the Knoxville news way too often for my liking. It is time for the hammer to fall. The police force needs to get down and get on it. ASAP!!!
They can't crack down Witchypoo. Haven't you heard it takes evidence and it is just too hard to come by. The cops will show up, ask if anyone saw anything illegal, and will be told nope. Things are tough all over.
THEY COULD CRACKDOWN IF THEY HAD THE WILL. Just like the border patrol.. no will. The iRS, they have the will. When enough pressure bears down on ORPD, they will magically have the will.
News Flash!! Maybe this board does have ears! The corner market at the Grove was visited at 6:30 p.m. tonight...Not by ORPD.. the Sheriff!!! They actually had Pimp Daddy in the parking lot and were searching a car for over 30 minutes..then ORPD showed up..It appeared no one was arrested when they left. After about 5 minutes the traffic came back. Oh well, I guess it was a start, maybe next time they can leave with a few. Possibly even check out the Mexican Market across the street.
Yeah I think the county has made more serious drug arrests inside the city limits than the ORPD over the past several years.

Thinking about my last comment, it dawned on me that I have nothing to base that on. I just seem to remember reading about more busts inside Oak Ridge, being made by the Sheriff's department than the ORPD.
Jacket, this may be something that you know about. Does the sheriff's department make a bigger dent in drug traffic in OR than does our PD, or is this a stupid question?
