Man, its a sad day in Oak Ridge.
There will be a big fireworks display in the middle of town at 10 p.m. tomorrow night. I suspect that ORPD (and especially ORFD) will be less tolerant than usual of illegal fireworks activity by folks like ourselves, due to the drought conditions.

However, there are nearby counties with lakes where one could probably get away with it.
An ugly situation, indeed.
Yeah this is a sad turn of events. John Clark would have handled this better....just sayin'.
Fireworks are indeed a waste of money. However, I enjoy them. But I do not enjoy wasting money, so how can I really enjoy them. I don't know.[/font]
Excuse me, but how do I get my personal Icon to appear like DACO's flying Duck?
You chose the avatar of the flying duck instead of Courage the dog. It's tough Emile, but you are a smart bonded security officer.
Okay, who's up for heading to Clinton or Kingston to see fireworks? Sorry about my earlier claim... I hadn't seen the news about OR's fireworks being canceled.
Wow, this fireworks certification looks like a scam -- the test is offered only by one contractor, who gathers a hefty $150 for each person taking the test. Furthermore, the test is valid only for one year, so it functionally costs $150/year.

So, what did PSI Examination Services pay a lobbyist to get this bill through the state legislature?

And, does this apply to individuals who might procure smaller explosives and set them off in counties where it's legal do to so?
I intended to attend the show yesterday until I heard it was cancelled. Had my own show but in my Co. they are legal. It was a good night by all.
