We need a new topic title...oh master of the topic titles.
I'm hearing so much great music that I want to share...but have no place to post it.
I’ll second that. Maybe adding some more fun topics would provide common ground where there seems to be so little.

This is what I’ve been listening to lately. Saw her in concert at the Bijou and it was one of the best I’ve ever been to.

Good to have you back Daco!
Let me guess...Diana Krall sing Bacharach?
Thanks sis, glad to be back.

Just got Mellencamp's latest album...great stuff. More Bluesy after about the 4th track. I do love me some blues.

The little that I know about both doesn't fit how I'd describe her. She's stood in a league of her own for the past 20 years. This album contains mostly covers of Dusty Springfield hits.

Interesting. A departure for sure. Do I sense a little Johnny Cash in there somewhere down deep?

Hadn't heard Shelby Lynne before. Her voice, at least with that one song, reminds me of Eva Cassidy:

Beautiful voice and a fascinating story. thanks for sharing. Listening to her rendition of Sting's "Fields of Gold" right now.

Very good thus far! Trina, the only problem with Shelby Lynne is that she makes me long for a Friday evening with good friends, a scotch in my hand on the porch with music in the background!

Here's one from New Orleans, currently living in Nashville (after the flood). He has a real New Orleans sound that can be heard live in places where only a cowboy will normally venture Cool

Great catch Trina! That's exactly what I thought the first time I heard "my sweet love." Johnny and June.
Speaking of Johnny and June....she performed it the other night as well. O.K., I'll get off my Shelby Lynne kick now.

Cowboy,

Grayson Capps is undoubtedly a fan of Hank Jr. and Skynyrd. Maybe even of Johnny too.

P.S. I like the new avatar, but I liked the old one better!
