Yesterday, the FDA issued a warning on tomatoes -- specifically Roma, red plum, and round varieties.

Tennessee-grown tomatoes have been deemed safe, however.

I just bought a bunch of Romas yesterday from Mickey's Produce on the turnpike. Anyone know where those come from?
No, but I can guarantee you this will drive up the price on the Grainger tomatoes. I would call Mickey's today and see if they will return them for Graingers.
Well, if the Romas were grown in Tennessee, I don't have to return them at all. Or, I could just wait a couple of days and see if Hubby gets sick, since he disregarded the warning and took some for lunch today in his salad.

I did warn him, but it didn't do any good.

**UPDATE: Called Mickey's, and they said these are from Georgia (which is listed as one of the "safe" states). So yes, I'll have a tomato sandwich for lunch.
"The salmonella originated from jalapenos (likely from Mexico)...A warning for jalapenos and fresh salsa made with them has been released...No recall yet..."

Loves me some fresh jalapenos. Had one on my salad last night and I'm still ambulatory.
