Bill Clinton's letter to John Hinckley

For those of you who may not be completely aware of John Hinckley, who he is, what he did, and why, here's a little history. John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan many years back.

John was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster, and extremely jealous as well, and in his twisted mind, loved Jodie Foster to the point that to make himself known to her, attempted to assassinate President Reagan.

With that in mind...the staff at the mental facility treating John Hinckley reports intercepting the following letter from Bill Clinton:

To: John Hinckley
From: Bill Clinton

Dear John,

Hillary and I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how pleased we are with the great strides you are making in your recovery. In our country's new spirit of understanding and forgiveness, we want you to know there is a bilateral consensus of compassion and forgiveness abroad throughout the land.

Hillary and I want you to know that no grudge is borne against you for shooting President Reagan. We, above all, are aware of how the mental stress and pain could have driven you to such an act of desperation.

Hillary and I are confident that you will soon make a complete recovery and return to your family to join the world again as a healthy and productive young man.

Best wishes,
Bill (and Hillary) Clinton

PS: Barack Obama is screwing Jodie Foster.

At this point, you just gotta smile 'bout something!!
ROFLMAO
Blowin Smoke:

Agreed. What we will have to choose from IS a laughing matter. If you don't laugh about it, you would have to cry so we need to find some humor in a very serious situation that appears will not get better with the two choices it appears we will end up with.

Well!

I think Obama will be a fine choice. All you loyal dems are going to fall in line are'nt you? As someone who voted for Bush twice, I'm willing to give him a chance.
OK, with that kind of stirring testimony, how could anyone not get in line?

Obama is probably the least experienced candidate to ever run for president. Maybe that is a good thing. The problem he will have getting elected is that lots of democrats still are hung up on the race issue and won't vote for him; there are still new skeletons in his closet yet to be revealed; some of the hill supporters won't vote for him and will vote for mccain; he isn't winning even in key democratic states; the more he talks the more people realize he is an empty suit and not that bright; and anyone in the middle with any qualms about him can still feel pretty good about voting for mccain since he is about the middle of the spectrum of democrats. Of course, mccain may blow it because he just isn't that savvy and has totally alienated the conservative base.

The issues that will probably kill obama are going to be the war - it will be much better by the election as deaths, violence, etc., continue to decline and al quida is on the run; and gun control. Dems seem to have forgotten the losses they suffered for supporting more unnecessary gun control. There are millions of voters who view this as their primary issue and many of these are dem, union members, etc. Al Gore lost Tennessee on this issue (as well as sasser, etc.) and obama is probably the worst in the senate on this issue. Dems have been smart enough to appear to be conservative when they run for office and that has allowed several to win. Obama doesn't even make any pretenses and, although he doesn't like to be called a liberal, he has always voted that way which is how he earned his #1 most liberal rating.

It is much like a chess match at this point and either can win or lose depending on how they play from here on out.

You need some saltines for your tripe.

I personally thought the letter was a funny joke and when you have lost your sense of humor what do you have.
Obama's lack of "experience" may very well be his best strength. Look at the mess "experience" has put us in.
