The budget has been passed and State employees will not be getting a raise. Instead they will receive a $400 bonus in October. Let's see, if you make $36,000 that is a 1.1% raise but will not go into your salary for next year. That probably won't even buy a month's supply of gasoline to get to work.

As I understand it insurance is also increasing Jan. 1. I think that puts them in the hole.
