Atomic City Talk

I've noticed a couple of apparent wireless hotspots around Oak Ridge, "oakridgewireless" and "freepublicwifi," but neither appears to connect to anything. There has to be some active hardware broadcasting the signal, but there isn't any internet connection behind it.

Mostly, I've picked these up on my iPod. A friend who travels a lot on business said he's seen the "freepublicwifi" in other cities as well, but it doesn't connect there either.

Anyone know anything about these?

I get these on my ipod and MacBook also but nothing behind it. Free Public Wifi is an Apple default that it tries to find and connect too...Not sure about the Oak Ride wireless which I see too in a couple of spots...
