At http://www.knoxnews.com there is a breaking story that Haslem is looking for $3.8 mil for lagging salaries. He must have done the same salary study as Anderson County. With the state at a $550 mil deficit and no raises for their staff and layoffs pending, these counties are doing salary studies and giving large raises to employees. Just talk to the AC Law Director and he will tell you how whether you agree with it or not stand united and he will push it through. Buildings are crumbling, offices cramped and lack of toilet paper when needed and here we go again talking about adjusting salaries. Why don't they take action with health insurance? Oh, forgot Arwood and the lord mayor would not be happy. Cuts their revenue.
