Eric, I thought you posted on another thread that you already have have the money you need to get your racetrack off the ground, and lots of willing investors. What are you waiting for? Why aren't you building? Oak Ridge needs a racetrack!

WTF?

Eric, I didn't post anything you haven't posted here before. Do you deny your own words?

You have wasted acres of bandwidth here posting pictures of racing and breathless promotional propaganda for your personal business ventures. You would have to pay for such self-promotion elsewhere.

Why are you offended when someone else calls attention to your own publicity?
I believe this discussion is about tax increases. Please don't hijack it.
Heh. Pot, kettle, black, etc.

You posted:

"Risk equals reward.

For over 60 years Oak Ridge has not really been willing to take much of a risk. We have an incredile [sic] resource to build on now in the form of ORNL and the automotive research that is occuring. Recent agreements are making the region ripe for attracting tier 1,2 and 3 auto suppliers. But, it will require offering incentives that Oak Ridge is not accustomed to. I just hope that studies to study other studies doesn't paralyze this opportunity."

Not one word about proposed tax increases. Instead, you attempted to hijack the thread to point to automotive research and auto suppliers, which (a) have nothing to do with tax increases and (b) calls attention to your personal business project that you have been promoting for weeks here.

I was just following your lead, Eric. If I'm off-topic, so are you.
"Good luck on your adventures...I hope you are successful."

Indeed. Auto racing. It's the answer to Oak Ridge's problems.

It's hypocrites like Eric that piss me off.

Yeah, like that's the only thing that pisses you off. You've shared a lot about your perfect life, wife, kid, career, and even your perfect body mass index. How do you explain, then, your constant state of irascibility?

Poor Trina. No date tonight? Again?!
Talk down to me all you like, Doc (nothing's ever stopped you before). At some point, you'll want to share what demons have you so angry at the world. When you're ready, I'm here for you.
Eric - I like the fact that you have a passion and are willing to put it out there for readers to react to. As an automotive technology aficionado and a confirmed auto racing fan (even the "low-tech" end like NASCAR), I find your ideas enticing and I encourage you to pursue them. At least you're putting something out there.

As far as ORHS 73 - ignore him. He lives somewhere else, works in the protected world of academia, and has a operating mode of using arrogant and condescending posts to try to belittle others. Most all the posters on this forums know and recognize his style. Remember, you don't have to respond.
