Have you heard that this is now all the rage?

To all those who may have been skeptical...it REALLY works!!

Big Grin
I'm not surprised... it's not too hard to get really absorbed in the game, to the point of some muscle stiffness the next day. If they can build rehab (Wii-hab) into something that's otherwise fun, it's likely to be more beneficial.

Any adult who has time to play a video game is an obvious loser. Go meet someone for coffee, talk face to face instead of texting the person right next to you. Walk around the block. Smell the Spring flowers. Do some yoga.
Emile, the article (which you may not have seen, as it was only active yesterday) was about a hospital in Buffalo, NY, using the Wii as part of their physical therapy regimen. Because it's more fun than just moving as the PT ("personal torturer") orders, people tend to be more willing -- even though they're making the same motions as the doctor ordered.

Obvious loser? You must have a house full of video game systems. Bet you even own Guitar Hero, and download reality games.

Touché, Netmom. Smile I'd bet Emile secretly rocks on "Through the Fire and Flames".

I may own these games, but I never play. You know that. You also left out the part of our competitive "Twister Match". Don't you think that would help the old folks out more than Smoke and Blows little bitty Wii?

You wouldn't be a recent ex-President taking a break from the campaign trail, would you? Because that sounds a lot like "...but I didn't inhale."

Note to self: decline any offers of cigars from Emile.

You have seen me smoke cigars from Monica's humidor, but you have never seen me play a video game. Speaking of video games, I have a nice video of Birthday Gymnastics on my phone. Maybe you can show me how to load it onto ACT. I am sure most would agree that the Gymnastics are far superior to any type of Wii nonsense.

Pay attention EM - Here's another link (since you don't read the paper or watch the news on television either):

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23493736/

This is all about PATIENTS WHO BENEFIT FROM THE NINTENDO WII FOR PHYSICAL REHABILITATION.

You had comments back when I was looking for one...I thought that I would put a link on here since it's been in the news as a POSITIVE thing lately.

Personally, I'm not one for "video games" (such as Pacman) but this requires alot of standing, jumping, swinging of the arms, etc. I have found that not only does it tire my "older" friends, but has done wonders during the cold months when they tend to be indoors.

PS - I still don't like you. Big Grin
