A story in today's Oak Ridger shows that a developer from Chattanooga knows where to put a storage facility. This location will house the usual storage facility including temperature controlled areas, the ability to house boats and trailers, and small offices. That is a neat idea!

Located in the Warehouse Rd area, this facility makes sense rather than occupying prime retail space next to Home Depot.

AMEN!!

I just went down to Cairo Ln and found that the Storage Center was already under construction by Fryar Construction from Chattanooga.

Way to go!
I've also been out to see the construction at the new storage facility behind Warehouse Road on Cairo Lane. Smile

At that location, the storage facility should enhance the surrounding neighborhood.

I'm particularly pleased to see that this development makes good and appropriate use of a tract where several housing developments have been proposed over the past few years. There were many reasons to oppose placing homes and families next to the Warehouse Road area, so the various rezoning requests failed. This looks like a very nice outcome for both the property owner and the community at large.

I hope that customers can find the place. The location is convenient, but to get there you have to already know where it is...
