Okay Marklex, let’s get this over with. I’ll be happy to explain my original post that took you to task for using the word “crybaby” and using the proper name of another member. Here is the post.
“RtarD, I realize that Wildcat used his own name up thread, but please don't use proper names when addressing another member. Also do try not to refer to anyone else as a "crybaby." Personal attacks aren't tolerated.
Wildcat, if you prefer using your real name, that is your choice. I suggest that if you want to sign your posts with your proper name, just change your screen name to your real name. Less confusing for us all.
In this moderator's opinion, the use of another member's proper name is just about the worse thing that can be done on this site. There seems to be some concern that one member may feel the need, in the near future, to "out" another member. Don't. I or another moderator will delete the "outing" post quickly and that will likely be the last post by the offending member.”
Of course at the time, I had no idea that you were using multiple usernames, so I had no way of knowing that RtarD was actually MarkLex, Futards, Etc. The point directed at you was made in the first three sentences of my post. That point is simple. Proper names are not to be used when addressing another member, period. No big deal pal. I didn’t spank you or attempt to publically humiliate you, I simply pointed out to you that it is a no no. I also pointed out that using individually insulting terms such as “crybaby” won’t be tolerated. Again. Simple, straight forward and easy to understand. You seem to expect total consistency throughout the pages of this site. Sorry pal. I don’t live online. I don’t read each and every post that each member places on the intarweb. Neither I nor any other moderator on this site owes you that. If you do something wrong, in the opinion of a moderator of this site, you will likely be called on it. You were. Either what you did was wrong or it wasn’t. It doesn’t make a bit of difference if anyone else has gotten away with something. You need to understand and accept that your behavior, described in my original post, won’t be tolerated.
The second half of my post, beginning with “In this moderator’s opinion…” had nothing to do with you. It had to do with another separate ongoing problem that had been brought to my attention by another member that wasn’t even involved in your situation.
Now it’s time for you to simmer down, enjoy the site as it is or accept the fact that your IP address will soon be permanently banned if you don’t. If you have further misunderstandings about my actions, PM me and we can discuss your concerns, but further public tantrums will be deleted and you will be banned.
I moved this, again, because it has nothing to do with the conversation at large, which is the county political thing. If anybody has an axe to grind, lets just have a good ol' PM flame war.
