Firstly there is no conviction, it is a bailable offense.

I think the concern here is that this is (at least) the second time in a matter of months that this particular judge has ordered this particular offender released with no bail posted and no time served.

Then a report to the Court of the Judiciary may be in order. If this is known fact by someone. That person should report this to that agency. They are responsible for policing the courts.

Yes, Dana Beauchamp was booked into the Anderson County jail this weekend but whatsupnow's source gave him incorrect information. She was booked in on PI (public intoxication) not DUI and she did bond out with Wayne Gipson Bonding. There is a funny side to this story though. The call came into the police department from "CHUMPS BAR" where she was arrested by Officer Squalia. Still waiting to see who called it in. Did CHUMP do it to his ex himself? Wonder what she was even doing there.

Thought everyone knew that. He was represented by the Hunt ( I guess to pay off campaign debts). Do they still go in public register in the paper?

Not only a prize as a husband he is also such a role model as a father too, especially if the kids are young girls.

Wow, I'm more of a novice in this County stuff than I thought! I need to read the paper on a more regular basis. Either that or my source is trying to make me look REALLY bad!!

You give the CHUMP way too much credit. I don't know what happened but I can guarantee you it wasn't good and had nothing to do with not letting her drive while intoxicated. I would put my money on a family dispute gone wild.
Hanging at your ex's dump is not what an ex usually does. I don't know why she was there and do not know who made the call but at best it doesn't sound like an ideal situation.
I'm still not a fan of that judge, but I was wrong in bashing him for releasing her without bail; this time, it appears that she was treated the same as anyone else.

Public intoxication isn't nearly as serious a charge as DUI, so it looks like this whole thing was a tempest in a teapot.

Not too many people are his fan. Still a lot of unanswered questions, but we will probably never know.

Besides the fact that this belongs in the local thread, the PI charge would have occurred because she was not driving. Having been kicked out for entering the establishment drunk! Sorry to disappoint so many of you but this was actually handled correctly.
