Does anyone know about the Clinton City Schools situation? Is the vote in December set to abolish, consolidate, or transfer the city schools into county?
If the city schools are abolished or transferred then the county school board takes the schools without any input by city school board members. In this case, tenured teachers remain employed, but I have questions regarding the fate of other employees.
If the school systems are consolidating, then both city and county school boards work together to form a transition board.
I don't think that there will be a tax reduction if the city schools become county schools, does anyone recall ever having taxes reduced?
