I see in the Sentinel that Ragsdale is hosting a fundraiser for Rex Lynch. Damn if that doesn't speak volumes!
First of all as a proud Zach Wamp supporter I think it's a slap in the face that he's having Bill Haslam as his guest speaker. What's Haslam ever done for Anderson County? Whether you're a Republican or Democrat there is no denying what Zach Wamp has done for us. What a way to say thanks! I hope that all of my fellow Zach Wamp supporters remember that when they go vote on Aug. 5th! I already talked to one die hard Republican this morning who said that he wouldn't have voted for Bolling but he sure as hell is now.
Secondly if he's jumping in bed with Ragsdale I don't want to hear another damn word about a $370 plane ticket! That man and his cronies have fleeced Knox County for years and here Rex is standing right with him. Maybe he's laying some ground work for the next time he decides to go job searching.
Too bad Ray Blanton is dead maybe he could have had him host a fundraiser too. Unreal!
Wonder who is giving whom lessons here on running county government. Birds of a feather flock together, or should I say vultures.
Ok Dirty Joe, I am going to play dumb here. Who is Ray Blanton?
Ah yes, the infamous "Ray of Blanton Sunshine"... remember those ads?
You are right on the money Dirty Joe. No one with an ounce of integrity should associate with Ragsdale. The mere thought of that man sends my blood pressure racing.
Opus do you remember the song about him, "Pardon me Ray...are you the cat that the signs the pardons...?" I think I still have the record somewhere.
Soaring Hawk I couldn't agree with you more. Ragsdale is a poster boy for everything that is wrong with politics. Wonder what the price was for his endorsement?
Interestingly I managed to get my hands on a copy of the invitation today and wouldn't you know that there are two men on the host committee that have a long track record of doing business with Anderson County. One of them is an engineering firm that did the work on the last water project which was funded with federal dollars and now I'm told they got the Claxton sewer project handed to them on a silver platter. To think that Rex Lynch has now reached the point where he thinks he can give my tax dollars to the highest bidder makes me want to throw up.
Lynch has a billboard that says with him smiling in front of the American flag that says "Excellence in Government". That guy has a lot of nerve...
Does this group have a thing with contracts? Ethics is not their strong suit. Things just do not pass the smell test. Jimmy Bouchard also had quite a few contracts with Buildings and Grants (Director Alan Beauchamp), all of which did not have to be bid, some of which were questionable. I am amazed at the lack of landscaping at the Dickens Building, which Shuey and Bouchard have been paid to do. With the amount of money Bouchard was paid to landscape it, it should look like the gardens in Victoria. Now Bouchard is running for Commission along with Shuey. Keep on taking a piece of that pie. The American Dream, government money falling from the skies with little to do for it in return. And this surprises me why?
As far as the contractors on the invitation, is that really ethical to grant business to someone who in return lines your pockets with campaign contributions? Why even have bids if it is being granted to the highest bidder? But then we have had that Arwood thing going on for years, why should this be any different? What do you call it KR, the "Old Guard"? This is the group who keeps on taking. "Excellence in Government" what a joke. It should say Government is excellent in keeping my friends and I in the lifestyle we have become accustomed to. And this should surprise me why?
The desperation tactics of the anti-lynch group are begining to take shape, but it will be to no avail until they can come up with a viable, ethical opponent. Too bad, I really thought that this might be the year. It does appear that Lynch will serve a fourth term... Is this a record??
Good morning, Irene.....

Good morning, Irene.....
There is a viable candidate.
