Have spent time on the phone with friends in the flood area. Although they really appreciate the perishables sent them what they need more than anything is bodies doing hard work. My better half and I will be spending 2 weeks in June in the flood zone helping friends and neighbors dig out. If you have some vacation time and no where to go, consider this. The people in that area would greatly appreciate it.

I have lived through many floods in my life. I just spent 5 days in Nashville doing flood relief. What a mess. For those with money there doesn't seem to be great difficulty getting people for restoration. For those who this will probably bankrupt they are in the same shape today they were the day after the water receeded. Tetanus shots are a must to work in the area.
