Well Snidely, Clinton (and Anderson County) probably feel about us the same way you feel about them. Ever wonder why? Probably not. It would take an open mind to do that.
I can think of 74-0 reasons.
Don't you mean 47-0?
Nope, 74-0 I believe was the OR/Clinton score about two years ago in favor or OR.
I just love quote posts. Nothing like a little redundant information to keep things fresh.
Well, after reading all three pages of posts...WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO WON AND WHAT THE SCORE WAS????
Thank you!

ORHS, 35-21 in what is considered a close game based on recent history and Clinton's prior years records.
Oneutvol, the score doesn't begin to tell the story. With less than 3:30 left to go in the game, Clinton pulled ahead 21-20 (Oak Ridge decided to try for 2 points, unsuccessfully, instead of the usual field goal for the first couple of TDs). The Dragons could taste victory... then Oak Ridge pulled out their passing and sprinting game, scoring twice in quick succession.
Clinton played well, and it was a very good game to watch. I can see why there was some disappointment on Clinton's behalf, to have come so close, then lost it. I guess it's kind of like getting a bite of a good, juicy ribeye, then having it taken away.
That's no excuse for what Tank witnessed, but up until that point, it was a great event.
The after game antics must have been a bit more serious than a little shoving match because the freshmen and JV games with Clinton were canceled yesterday. COME ON ADULTS.........ACT LIKE ADULTS. If we continue to see such childish behavior each year due to the rivalry nature of the Clinton/Oak Ridge game, maybe we should just cancel the game.
Interesting article in today's Knoxburg Sentinel on the "altercation" that took place after the game. If adults would only leave the kids alone and let them play the game........ But I guess that's asking too much......
Knoxnews:
Clinton High officials allege Oak Ridge Coach Stanton Stevens cursed Clinton students who came onto the field after the game and then shoved Clinton Assistant Coach Richie Marsh in the chest with both hands, knocking him backward.
Stevens allegedly then had to be physically restrained by others as the incident came close to escalating and involving players, according to Clinton High officials.
"... according to Clinton High officials" doesn't strike me as an unbiased source. Were any of the referees present?
