It appears that the local GOP's nominations in January didn't quite pan out, so they've taken a Mulligan and scheduled their do-over for March 30.

Any bets on who the new office-seekers will be? Having more than one caucus (per election) makes about as much sense as having more than one primary.
Better than watching "AS THE STOMACH TURNS".
DRUM ROLL PLEASE a lot to do about nothing. What a pathetic joke.
Well at least one household reads the paper and liked what they saw in the recent ads run by the Republican Party which featured the perks of being an elected offical in Anderson County. The great pay and good benefits sounded good to the Moseley family and they both have said recently to sign them up.

I don't really know these people and neither do the majority of people that I have talked to but he took a turn at running for state rep a few years ago as I remember and then he recently was nominated and then later withdrew from Register of Deeds and she is aparently a part-time math instructor. Does anyone know anything else about them? I am curious as to where they are getting these candidates and what makes them qualified for the jobs they are after....anyone know?

"I've beaten every bush in the county, trying to shake some birds out to run for office," GOP Chairman Aaron Wells told the small crowd convened in a courthouse courtroom. (knoxnews.com)

That is nice to know that the this is what this party has come down to is just some Republican "birds" (wells words not mine) running for something/ anything/ everything even if they are not qualified! I know alot of people who wouldn't even attend last night just on principle alone so that must be why it was a small crowd.
I'm no Democrat, but if you take a look at the Anderson County republican party you have to wonder why anyone would run.
And you wonder why politics and politicians get such a bad rap. After this fiasco all I can say is what an embarrassment.
YOU'RE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LEADER...ENOUGH SAID.
As the bush was being shaken by the Republican Chairman a few coo-coo birds did fall out.
Oh, that's good, E.... LOL
