Well, now that the Saints are marching in and Mardi Gras is around the corner, New Orleans is the place to be. Just wish I could have secured a room for the upcoming gala but all are taken.
I was at Mardi Gras "way back when" and it was quite an experience. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.... Big Grin
Great stuff for New Orleans. They deserve it.

It was rough being the only Saint's fan in a room full of Colts/Peyton fans.
I am not a Peyton fan. Like Eli much better. Think he is a more versatile QB so I was one of the only in our room full of people also. Loved it for NO, they needed a great pick-me-up and nothing says it better than SUPER BOWL CHAMPS and the Lombardi trophy.
I love Peyton Manning (in a friendly way of course). He is the best quarterback of the past 25 years, maybe all-time. However, he showed that he is not invincible. Besides football though, Peyton has donated remarkable amounts of time and money to upgrade the children's hospital in Indy. Eli is an average NFL QB at best.

I don't want to take away from the Saints win. They deserve some credit and a little glory because I think they were the best team through out the season (and nothing to do with Katrina). I became impressed with Drew Brez also - a good QB and also a great person.
He's a choker and has only been able to win one big game in his career. Just ask UT fans. He couldn't take them to a National Championship. He is unable to play outside the pocket. He is a passing quarterback and to quote him one with little athletic ability. He confesses that Todd Helton was a better athlete and quarterback than he was. He cannot run with the ball. He is one dimensional. Give me a Tom Brady, Brett Farve, Big Ben or Breez anyday of the week. Give me a quarterback who can play all aspects of the game and doesn't act like a spoiled brat when he loses and walks off the field without congratulating the opposing or should I say winning side.
You are wrong E, but then you have the right to be wrong.

Good night Irene.
How funny and insane E.
Come on KR he said those things himself on ESPN about his lack of athletic ability and he has proven it on more than one occassion. Also, with his numbers he should have been able to be like Bradshaw and take his team to the Super Bowl every year. He has twice and lucked out once and showed his true colors Sunday just like he did as a college qb. He lucked out two years ago but did he ever take UT to a National Championship? Nope, choked every time. Can't blame that one on Fulmer. People here idol worship instead of ability worship. I get tired of the Peyton hype and nothing to show for it.

Good Night Mrs. Calabash wherever you are.
E..... Did you, perchance, bet on the Colts to win???? Just asking..... Big Grin
