My connection at the courthouse has told me he has scouted CHUMPS new office on the first floor since the start of this new endeavor of CHUMP. In the last 20 walk bys CHUMP has only been in the office once. There is some young girl sitting in the office alone. The walk by has been done throughout the day. I am sure he is probably out inspecting all the buildings in the county for repair. We all know that he is carrying a time sheet in his shirt pocket and is trustworthy so I don't think we could be diversifying into the Bar business or could we?
Is scouting Chumps office in his job description? Did he write that down on his time card this week?

Was told today when the custodians went in to clean CHUMPS office the dust was an inch thick on his desk. There have been no CHUMP sightings in quite a while. I bet the county is still paying him. If we eliminate his salary we could possibly use that money to help the sheriff hire more officers. With his money, the money from double dipping and the insurance consulting fee I bet we would have more than enough to fund the sheriff.
Understand there was finally a CHUMP sighting at the courthouse. I guess once every so often justifies our tax dollars paying his salary and benefits package so he can continue running his bar. Although he is not visible during work hours, when there is a meeting where he can be seen, he shows up. He spends his time glad handing and trying to patronize elected officials to build a base, but he isn't fooling anyone.

The lord mayor, also known in some circles as Opie and in others as Howdy Doody, tried a new PR move today to dazzle the citizens of Anderson County. It was called WORK. Yes, he was there on one of his few sightings and stating he was doing clean up by working outside where everyone could see him doing landscaping. The real clean up has to be done inside. He doesn't seem to want to be part of that clean up or find a solution there but rather he is a big part of the problem. As I was being told about this new move of his, I asked myself WHERE IS MR. BUILDING AND GRANTS? Is this another cover up to protect the other employee who also has very liberal hours? Come on, we as citizens are not as stupid as the lord mayor thinks we are. He needs to find a better PR move than this one.
So now we're paying Rex for raking leaves too? That's a mighty big tab he'll charge for yanking weeds. I think I'll run my jug of Round Up to him so he can relax a bit and not work up a sweat for the cover of the newspaper. Can't have a picture on the front page of the mayor sweating now could we?
