The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association is apparently revisiting the changes to the system, new this year.

There are good arguments on both sides. I like the more limited travel schedule, and attended most away games this year. However, I admit that seemed odd that some teams got in to the playoffs with horrible (9-1) records, while others with overall winning seasons didn't.

The beef about pairing larger schools with smaller schools didn't end up being as disparate as some proposed it would be, but the numbers do show the larger schools having some advantage in most classifications.

What do you think they'll change, if anything?

The mixing of classification in regular season was the mistake in the play offs. Teams with horrible records got into the play offs because they beat the schools they should beat, regular rivals and schools similar in size (former 1a schools playing 1a and 2a playing 2a.) One team only had to win three games to be in the play offs. That makes things a little tricky. The problem arose when attempting to divide them out along true classificaitons. The changes will be whatever makes the T$$AA cash.
Guess ticket sales weren't as good as they thought it would be with the revisions so here we go again.
