Who knows anything about the recent fight at Chumps? I heard several police cars were needed to calm things down, and cart off the pugelers
Heard some rumblings but no conformation yet. Does it surprise you? Check out the clientel, it might shock you as to who are some of the patrons on Saturday night.
It's not like we weren't expecting it to happen....but so soon? Geeze, the place has been open what a whole month?

Just wait till the town's "regulars" start hanging out there. Hopefully, the police aren't too far away after the midnight hours to hit a few for DUIs. Although the police need to keep an eye out in other areas of town, it would be oh so sad if there's an accident with a cause that bee lines right back to Chump's palace. I get bad vibes when I drive past there.
The regulars have started to make their appearances. Centennial is loosing some of their regulars to CHUMPS. Wonder if they were asked to leave Centennial. You might be surprised that it is some of our own officials making the move.
I don't think that Centennial would ask anyone to leave. However, if it's closer to home, maybe it's worth while for that/those city employee(s) to sneak home after a "few too many".

Since I'll probably never darken the door of the place (having no interest in sports bars, or bars in general) I'm curious as to whom you are referring to when you say we'll be shocked about the clientel. (This is an honest question; I'm not being snarky or anything). No names, please. I had a young lady I work with ask me the other day if I'd been there, as she was curious and looking for a place to take an out-of-town guest. Is it a place she would feel comfortable in? Or is it full of our local druggies, ladies of the evening, etc? Thanks.

Never been and never will. Don't know who frequents the place but do know the proprietor and that is enough for me.
You are who you hang with, check out who he hangs with and you can figure out the clientel. It is no one I would want to associate with at a bar, in church, at a party, anywhere.

OK. I inferred from your previous post that you'd been there...

Thanks. I told the young lady at work that the owner is not held in high regard by a LOT of people, so I would have second thoughts about going there. I hate to discourage people from trying out new places in O.R., especially when they are entertaining out-of-town guests or business associates. There are so few places in O.R. to do so. But if it's not someplace one wants to take their friends and family, better to know that beforehand than be disappointed when you get there.

BTW... I was told that a fellow from New Orleans is planning to open a piano bar at the old gas station on the SW corner of Illinois and W. Outer. Sort of an odd place for a piano bar (IMHO). To my way of thinking that area would be better suited for a honkey tonk (sorry, my bias is showing thru Tongue)
